Hi there
Im new to the forum- and very happy I found it- it looks like fun.
I am the lucky mom of a brother (Spencer the tuxedo cat) and sister (Gracie - the cow spot cat) long hair mix who found me during a visit to the Denver Dumb Friends League two years ago. I went to the DDFL for one, came home with them both- and I cant imagine either one of them not being in my life. They make me smile everyday and have given me a huge appreciation for the shelter and what they do. (Before I got them, I had a wonderful long hair Persian mix black cat for 18 years who was with me through college, new jobs, and life- she was such a sweetie- I still miss her
)
Gracie was a very timid and shy little girl-she hardly let me touch her- Spencer was her protective big brother. They are now both very affectionate and help keep my stress down with their company & love.
I also have a Scottie (Maggie) and a Westie (Bailey). I love them too AND! they love the cats and the cats love them!!! Not only did I think de-clawing the cats was cruel, but I wanted them to have protection if needed. I think early swats from them helped Maggie and Bailey realize they were all equals in this house. (I also think Maggie thinks she is a cat and sometimes Spencer thinks he is a dog - but its all still good)
Thats it from me now- I look forward to meeting you all, asking questions and learning new things! Have a wonderful day!!!
PS: I love emoticons!! And there are so many cool & fun ones! YAY!!
