Im megan, and I recently (this past friday) adopted an adorable 11week old Balinese kitty named Sophie.
The night before we picked her up I couldnt go to sleep, 2years ago I left my sweet Milo with my parents. He ended up running away while I was on vacation and never came back . It just felt like I was replacing him and I couldnt control my guilt for not being there and feeling like im replacing him. My husband ended up calming me down. Seems I still miss little Milo.
Well the next day came and we picked up Sophie, when I saw her I knew she would be joining our little family. She is just so lovable!
She cried the entire hour drive back home which was difficult for me being emotional and all, but when we arrived
I placed her in a small room with all the necessities... she didnt stay put, and immediately started exploring.
Today she has been running all over our apartment, tail sticking straight up .
Needless to say I think she acclimated quickly.
I have found that she is on the thinner side though, compared to her littermates. I tried weighing her but she doesnt like to stay still for too long unless its nap time.
Is it strange that she did not like the food we were given when she was adopted? My husband bought a different brand and type of meat today and she ate much more compared to the days before.
