DemstarAus here, but you can call me Dem or Demi...
My partner & I have recently purchased kittens from our local animal refuge, we've had them since the 30th of November 2010, when they were 12wks old.
Both of our kittens are from the same litter, however, we had wondered and the vet confirmed that they have different fathers (as I had discovered was possible).
Io (female - original name from the refuge, Demi, haha!) we suspect had a Siamese or oriental father, as she has small eyes, a pointed snout, very large ears and is very slender and agile, with a lovely shiny tuxedo coat. Her kneading when she curls up in bed with us is very nice, however can sometimes sting!
Cooper (male, kept his name) is fuzzy and has stripes, also B&W, we think his dad was a tortoiseshell/ginger moggy or similar. He loves cuddles and purrs like a lawnmower.
They are predominantly inside cats, as they have only just had their last vaccination for the next year, they are still indoors. We are also reluctant to let them outside at the moment as the neighbours have two very noisy and aggravated puppies, very adorable but they don't look after them which is sad. I don't want our kitties to get into trouble.
As they get a little older we plan on supervising them in the yard, and the few times we have taken them out, they've been very nervous and timid, so we're just easing them into it. They will however remain mostly indoors, especially with the new cat curfews and laws that have come about recently in our state.
Anyway, I'm starting to get off the point (as I will often do XD)
So, yeah, I look forward to talking to many of you, sharing stories and experiences.
Thanks & Have a great day
Peace Out (^_^)
