Greetings everyone!
I'm Magiks or Mag or Magi... not at all related to my real name by the way.
I'm new to this site after searching for information about a cat that just had babies under my couch.
I was already friendly with this cat since about a year ago when she got (somehow) severely burned on her legs and I took her to the vet. After caring as much as she would allow, she made a full recovery (not considering minor scarring).
I named her Grin on a spot's notice when the vet asked her name to fill out a prescription for her meds for the recovery. She looked me straight in the eyes with her green eyes, I decided to name her... Green eyes.... Green.... sounds like Grin!
I was told she's a stray, but she likes to roam around the neighborhood and sometimes didn't come back for days. She started staying more and more, but not quite all the time. So I'm not sure if I should get her an ID collar with my contact info and then have an angry person scream at me over the phone or hold her for "ransom". (My neighborhood is not quite on the nice side)
We weren't able to locate her first 2 litters (?) of babies, but this time around, in a family effort, she felt comfortable enough to have her babies under our living room couch on Friday... the 13th! Yay! =D
I've started to find the babies homes to people I know really well, so far I have "placed" 2.
Her full name is Gato Grin, as in "Cat" in Spanish and I think she's an American Shorhair tuxedo cat. The father of the kittens, her "husband" I think is a common American shorthair (slender, gray with "tiger" stripes).
I'll try to be active here! Nice to meet everyone!
