Update: I saw Felix eating his kibble just know, so I think I jumped to conclusions about him being on a hunger strike
Hi,
As those of you who read my other posts know, I am trying to transition my two cats Trixie (early CKD) and Felix (urinary crystals) to eating separate foods. Trixie has taken to her KD food like a champ, and is not drinking like she was. I have a bowl for Trixie in the kitchen and a bowl for Felix on the cat tree (where Trixie doesn't go).
My concern is Felix. He is a high strung cat which may have been the reason for the crystals in the first place. He has a good relationship with me now (Yeah) and an ok one with my parents. He doesn't try Trixie's canned food. However, when my Mom gave her kibble this morning, he went over and tried to eat it. Trixie (who's the more passive one left). My Mom told him no and tried to get him to eat his food. He wouldn't take it and ran off outside (frost on the pumpkin) this morning. We can't find him in our backyard. Also, to my knowledge he hasn't eaten since last evening (He was on my bed for most of the evening and the food in his bowl didn't go down overnight. Any thoughts?
