I'm not sure if they work or not so I though I would ask before purchasing a set.

My cat is starting to shed. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as what brush to buy?

the gloves didn't really work for our shorthaired cat - i get the same amount of fur off HK just petting him firmly.

i recommend the furminator BUT you must use it very gently. the ends can be sharp, but HK had no problem with it. it removes a jaw-dropping amount of loose fur. or you can use a flea comb with rounded ends - that works well, too.

I bought the glove brushes for my parents cats and it didn't work. They liked the feel of it though. I 2nd the furminator (old version). It's expensive but it works.
