My 12-year-old spayed female had two 1 cm struvite stones removed three weeks ago. We had taken her to the vet after she suddenly started peeing on our wood floor in the sunroom, and she was diagnosed with bladder stones. After surgery, she was kept in the bathroom for one week and used the litter box provided. When we let her out, she continued using the box for a few more days. Then one day she peed on the floor again, then again a few days later, then it became daily. Now she has done it twice in the last 24 hours, always the same area. We used every pet urine cleaning product we could find in stores and a few homemade ones thinking maybe she could still smell it. We put a litter box in the area where she is doing it. Nothing has worked. I am trying to get a urine sample to take for another urinalysis, but I'm wondering if this could be behavioral, basically a habit continuing from when she had the stones. She otherwise appears to be feeling so much better.
