It takes about 30 days for the testosterone levels to drop from his blood stream. After that happens, you may just get a more lovable Momma's boy and a lap cat. All three of our males did.

Poohbear came home the same day of surgery and slept for the next two days. He was a changed cat!!
A total luv bug. Where as before he was climbing the walls trying to find him a girl. Now he just wants to snuggle and talk. The change was instant.

I left work early yesterday
to go and pick him up, I just couldn't even wait any longer!!

I got to the vet and they were so busy I still had to wait about 15 min to talk to someone. So I told the lady I was here to pick up Harley and she told me that she would go back to get him (I knew that was NOT going to work...)
All of a sudeen I heard a cat meow really loud, and I could tell that it was Harley--and he was hissing at this poor old lady!
So she called me back there and he was all the way back in the corner of his kennel, shaking, and his hair was all poofed up, I felt so bad! So me and John talked to him in that lovey calming voice and we put our fingers in the cage so he could sniff us, and he calmed down and started purring and came right to me! I was so happy!!

We got him home and he went right to his litter box and food, ate a 1/2 bowl of food and drank his whole dish of water!! Poor little guy

I stayed home all night with him....I couldn't even think about leaving him alone for the night! He didn't leave my side ONCE all night, he sat on my lap, and purred and cuddled with me....I was on cloud nine all night! He was such a love bug, and John was happy, cuz he actually cuddled with him too!!

So my baby is home!! I am so happy to have him home and to have had him sleeping with me all night long

Thanks again for all of your vibes, you guys are GREAT!

Even though you missed him, you really are better off he stayed overnight. I picked Abby up the same day and DID NOT have a good experience. I will never go to that shelter and spay clinic again
I realize how hard some of these people work with very little reward, but the treatment she received was inexcusable.

Oh no, thats horrible!
I was really happy that they kept him, especially with me and John working all day, I didn't want him home alone if something were to happen, at least he was with people that could keep an eye on him

As much as you miss the little devils
while they're away, it really is worth a whole bunch of peace of mind to know that if something isn't 100% right in those first hours there will be someone close by to recognise that and tend it. Glad everything went well and your sweetie is home safe and happy.
