I'm making a pillow for my mother in law for x-mas. Stupid me just sewed the thing backwards.
But the stitch is pretty and freakin tight!

Once I sewed a (short sleeve) shirt sleeve on upside down! Also I always seem to do my best sewing when the bobbin is empty!

and if all else fails, sew a nice piece of border fabric on around the edges!Originally Posted by SalemWitchChild

I got it off. But I got a little carried away with the seam ripper and cut part of the fabric.I think it'll be ok.. It's just a gift right........
Actually that's what I ripped...lol.Originally Posted by icklemiss21

I'm thinking I can glue it...lol. I have fabric glue here that might work. I could cut it off. I am gonna have to buy more ribbon anyway. I didn't get enough.Originally Posted by crittermom
Oh no. Maybe just take it in a bit more so the rip doesn't spred.
Yeah me to. But the stuff was expensive. $10 dollars for 2 yrs.Originally Posted by crittermom
As long as she won't be washing it often, then the glue should be o.k.
I'd rather cut it off and buy extra to be safe.
It shouldn't fall apart. And I'll be sure to reinforce it with a little extra stitch there. It's just the fringe I'm putting around the edge that I cut into a bit. It won't look the best but it will be sturdy when I'm done with it.Originally Posted by crittermom
I do quilts fairly often and have had to re-adjust things.I'd be affraid that after a few washes the glue would come undone and the pillow would fall apart.
