Hey guys,
I have two male orange tabbies, Sam and Dean. They are 9 years old, litter mates, and VERY close (they cry around the house looking for each other every 10 minutes). When I left for college 2 years ago, my mother kept them in a large room for a good portion of the day.
She complained about them peeing outside the litter box, probably because they wanted attention.
By the time I realized this was going on, they had been peeing/spraying quite often. I have now taken them to live with me in my apartment where there are 2 other cats.
We have two covered cat boxes to accommodate the four felines.
However, Sam and Dean have continued to spray/pee on the kitchen floor, the carpet, the stove??, and even on grocery bags.
Is it territorial? Confusion? Stress?
I am not capable of rehoming them. I want to fix the problem. Please help?
