Hello everyone!
My husband and I live in Monterey with two SPCA rescue kittens named Galinda and Elphaba, one English Mastiff, and one 7-year old daughter. Our last cat Molly passed away from CRF on December 23, 2013 at the age of 12 and all of us dearly miss her.
Our kittens seem to be "grief counselors" for the loss of our Molly. Every day, they make us laugh with their spunky antics, amusing ways of sleeping, and high-pitched meows for attention and food. They were originally found as stray sisters on the street. Elphaba lost both her eyes due to infection when she was living on the streets but is nevertheless the more playful cat out of the two. It really makes my heart break when guests come over, see Elphaba, and say "Why are her eyes so white and ugly?". She is just as cuddly as her older sister and navigates stairs like a pro.
Our other kitten is a brown tabby/tortoiseshell named Galinda - she's very curious and loves to play with her little sister. I often see them grooming each other, sleeping right next to each other, and eating out of the same bowl (I feed them both homemade raw because Elphaba had a severe UTI when we adopted her).
Both are the sweetest little loves. Looking forward to participating on the site.
