I've been lurking the last week or so, and wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself and my cat.
Almost two weeks ago, I adopted (my husband, my children, and I) a five-month-old kitten named Gizmo from a local rescue. He is such a joy! He's very affectionate and so confident for a little guy. I'm going to attach a picture, even thought it's not the best photo....most of them are blurry when he's awake since he's always moving, lol. Oh, and his fur is soooo soft! I hope that it doesn't change too much as he grows.
At his last vet visit, he was about 6 lbs even at 5 months and 10 days. Anyone have a guess about his final weight? His foster mother from the rescue said he was one of the smaller kittens from the litter. There were 10 of them!!
He follows us everywhere from room to room and always wants to be with us and on our laps. Sometimes I wonder if we should have adopted another kitten with him? We have a larger family, so he is always getting attention, rather it be playing or cuddles, but I just want him to be as happy as possible. Has anyone else added another cat so soon after adopting, or can one little social guy be happy being an "only kitten"?
Thanks ahead of time for any opinions!!
