I'm kicking myself right now.

Turned my back while cooking and cat jumped up on the table and had at the bowl of pesto. I really don't know how much he ingested before I noticed. Called the animal hospital and I'm monitoring for symptoms. Will call the vet in the morning too. Dang do I feel stupid and worried.

They're faster than little children I swear, I think partly because cats are, or can be, so silent.

They really are like sneaky children. I'm sorry he got into that. You did the right thing and handled it.
I had one of mine eat an entire chive plant and she is totally fine years later after a few days of vomiting and me monitoring.
