(I'd aways heard boogie woogie originated in Texas but looking into it more, it seems there are different opinions about that, so New Orleans might be right.)
It was developed in the 1870s and made popular in the 1920s. New Orleans, piano.
What is kwaito?
Correct. Margd, FYI nobody ever says Happy Boxing Day. But thanks anyway.I always thought Boxing Day was called that because December 26th was the traditional day for giving gift boxes to staff and tradesmen. I think it got its name in the Victorian era but actually is no longer celebrated as much as in earlier years.
(HAPPY BOXING DAY!!!!! @Primula
)
Is it because you can't pump your own gas in Jersey? I know that because when I'd drive to Jersey to see Carol (LaRussa), I'd stop for gas and the attendant had to pump it for me. I wasn't allowed to. Before I add a trivia question, I'll wait to see if I'm correct.What is wrong with this statement?
We finally left California last night for our drive back east. We made several stops to pump gas as we crossed America. Our final stop to do this was in New Jersey just before we entered the Lincoln Tunnel. It was thrilling to exit the tunnel and find ourselves home at last in New York City.
