our youngest cat had a swelling in his back paw recently (last week) we took him for two day to the vet and he took antibiotics for it
he recovered but the very next day after his last antibiotic shot he started scratching his right frontal paw and today it is visibly swelling even when he rest
it's bothering him because he bites it many times a day and he rise his paw for seconds when he is standing
The last time he went to the vet, the vet asked if our cat fell on something that might go through his paw but nothing like that happened
he said it might be from high jumping .. our youngster is slightly short-legged but he likes to jump from high places sometimes
his eating and drinking habits are normal
no change in his activity he still runs and plays like any other day
he is highly energetic cat and still loves jumping from tables and chairs (we try to prevent it )
why is he having recurrent swelling when he already had a medication right before?
what can we do at home to help him recover?
we fear too many medications might hurt him in a short period of time
any advice ?
