Could be your permissions list for your firewall is configured as IPs, not domain names. Probably there is/was a different IP for the new server. Only way they could upgrade and keep the forum operating. After the upgrade, the IP was switched to the new server, or the DNS was changed to associate the new IP with the domain.Originally Posted by Chester&Piper

What you are seeing there is that the threads you subscribed to while you were on instant notification still have that designation on them, while the ones you subscribed to after the change don't. So you need to change the older ones manually -- you can go into your User CP, list all subscribed threads and change the notification on the relevant ones. Bit of a nuisance, but easily handled. I know -- I've been there! Oh, and nothing to do with the upgrade, either -- I made that change months ago.Originally Posted by xocats
Possible E-mail notification problem....
When TCS first came back online, I subscribed to instant e-mail notification of posts in subscribed threads.
I changed that to "no e-mail' notification" when I realized how many I would receive.
I keep getting notifications...lots of them, all the time.
I tried 3 more times to change it back to "no e-mail notifications" but this morning, new notifications were still in my e-mail box from last night. It's not a big deal but I thought someone should know. There is a quirk in the works.
The site is running much faster. It is great. Thanks.
