Does flouride have the same effect on a cat as it does humans? We have flouride in our water and of course the cats get that water.

I have no idea on your question, but wanted to say hi because I had a kitten once called Bentley and he was a black funny furball whom I loved very much! What does your Bentley look like?

He is black and white. I posted a picture of him in the picture forum.

Flouride does have the same benefits for cats as humans. I know when they have a dental done, the vet usually applies flouride onto the teeth, but I am not sure of the benefits from the drinking water.

Yes, in fact you can buy flouride gels to apply to your cats teeth to prevent decay/cervical line erosions. I am not sure how much the flouride in water helps anybody, but in answer to your question, yes flouride can help with dental health in cats/dogs.
