I'd recommend antioxidants and Omega-3 fatty acids, at a minimum. There are about a million antioxidants to choose from; vitamins C and E are common ones and do a good job. The herb astragalus is a great immune booster. Here are some more ideas and details: http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.ph...forcatsanddogs
Of course, a great diet is the main foundation. What are you feeding him?
Stress management is really important for these guys. Flower essences are excellent for that.
Thank you!
I wish I could be feeding her something better but I have to have her on Royal Canine SO because she has calcium oxalate. All three of my cats have had some problems with UTIs and Oreo (my one with FIV) has it the worst.
Oreo does have major problems with stress cause she does not like one of our other cats (Jazz). She is constantly trying to attack him.
They *must* be on the canned version of whatever food you want. The dry urinary foods don't work--40% of cats will recur with symptoms anyway while they are eating dry "prescription" diets but only 10% have further problems when fed your basic canned diet--any good canned food, not only the urinary one. Here, read this, it will explain a lot! http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.ph...=show&item=017
