Hello!
I just became a cat owner (pet owner for that matter) for the first time. I've always loved cats but am slightly allergic and felt that it would be impossible for me to ever have a kitty of my own. Thankfully, I found a number of anti-dander products that have made this possible (along with twice-daily allergy medicine, an allergen air filter, and regular vacuuming). I have had no allergy issues since bringing her home about three weeks ago, and am just completely enamored with her. She's a blue British shorthair, is super sweet and friendly, and is almost 13 weeks old. The transition into pet-parenthood has been a wonderful one.
I have read a great deal on British shorthairs and kittens, but still feel like there must be some things I don't/can't know at this point in my life as a cat mommy. I am feeding her grain-free dry kitten food (Merrick "Purrfect Bistro"), although I wish she would eat wet food (she won't, and I posted about that early today in the Cat Nutrition section).
Anyway, I just wanted to know if there were any BSH owners or just experienced cat moms (or dads) that could give me some advice or info on BSHs or kittens. Any and all responses are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Elizabeth
