Fever Coat?

Hey Guys,
I just got this little guy from a feral sanctuary. He has a very unique coat that I think could be a fever coat. Some of his littermates had a much darker version of this coat. I would appreciate anyone else's opinion.

Yes, I do think that looks like a fever coat. He will probably be solid black as an adult. He’s a cute little guy!

I belive you guys are right the vet and I are debating whether he will be a black or chocolate cat.

If the darkest areas of the coat are black, he will be a black cat. Black cats can have brownish or grayish areas on the coat, but a chocolate cat will not have black areas.

It does look like a fever coat to me. Over the years I have seen two kittens with fever coat and it looked fairly similar to that (although I was looking at blue kittens rather than black).
