Ginger Cookie is obsessed. Seriously obsessed.
She is obsessed with the water and ice dispenser on our fridge.
We keep a bar stool in the corner by the fridge because DH needs to use it when he's cooking because of his bad back. That has become her spot. It's right next to the water/ice dispenser. When we get water or ice, which is fairly often, she comes running at full tilt. She will sit and stare at it for a good ten minutes, waiting for it to do something. And sometimes she's right - the ice bucket inside the bucket refills automatically and she hears the ice drop. That restarts the clock.
As an aside, Ginger is a very quiet cat. She doesn't talk. When she does, it's the tiny little meow that you'll miss if there is any other noise.
We are getting ready to go to the Broncos pre-season game today, and Earl was getting the cooler ready for our mini-tailgaiting. Usually if he uses the stool he takes it away from that area, but this time he didn't. She was very concerned that she was going to miss something important with the dispenser.
She sat in front of him trying the feline-human-mind-meld. It usually works with Mommy!
She meowed at him. TWICE!
In desperation - she tried to jump into the cubby where you get the ice and water out. (That didn't work.)
Dejected, she came upstairs to me. Then she heard it. What she just knew was going to happen. THE ICE!!! A MAJOR ICE FALL!!! Like a SHOT she was gone!
I'm pretty sure she's camped out in front of the dispenser. It's refilling the whole thing since Earl used all the ice for the cooler.
This is a major day in the life of Ginger Cookie!
