We first gave Han some tuna, but only a table spoon full, and only have given it to him twice but on separate days. Example: On Friday, then Sunday.
I am here today because he had diarrhea but nothing too severe, it was only a tiny bit, I checked his paws and his litter and no trace of anything bad.
He does have mucus in his eyes recurring, but the place we adopted him as soon as I noticed his eyes were reddish, they gave me an antibiotic for his eyes and his eyes seem to teeter back and fourth to becoming healthy and back to being somewhat of a bother to him where he rubs his eye that is bothering him.
The mucus comes and goes, at first it's a tiny bit but then it looks like he is straight up crying.
He eats fine, and he drinks fine, he does what any normal kitten would do as far as I know.
He scratches his posts, just everything normal. He goes to the bathroom with no pain.
His body does seem to be hot? Not super hot, but idk... kittens seem to be warm when they are in contact with you on your lap or near your lap?
He has plenty of water, I always make sure he does and after a bit where I see tiny particles of food I dispose of it and wash it out and refill it back, sometimes I even put the tap water in a water bottle and freeze it or put it in the fridge to keep him cool because it's nearing Summer now and I want him to be comfortable and tackle this heat we deal with some nice cold water.
We have not given him wet food, I've read somewhere that it says to add wet food to a kitten/cats diet once or twice a week...???? I will get right on that as soon as I know it is safe to do anything until I know he is healthy again.
We have a one trip to the vet that's a free thing to get done, that also includes his last shots that are for his vaccination.
We do have the money to take him to the vet, I'm just concerned for his health right now...
I hate how he acts so normal and then not.
He does sleep a lot but I have no clue if that's relevant to his sickness considering how cats sleep a lot in general, especially kittens.
His meows sound groggy, sorta crackled, he does purr, idk... I just want him to be okay.
We got him about 8 days ago, and he is calm now, he's been calm since day 4 or 5.
I looked at his gums, they are neither pale, or yellow.
He does have just a tiny bit of dark colored ear wax, I will get the vet to clean that and see if his hearing is okay.
I just want him to be okay...
He's the only cat here, he gets 24/7 attention, he plays normally like chasing toys and bringing them back like fetch.
The amount of diarrhea by the way, was not a large amount, it got on our bed sadly but it was easy to clean up, I would say the amount was like a smudge the size a little smaller than a dime.
I think it happened when he meowed or something, that caused the muscles to force a tiny bit out of him.
So can anybody tell me if this was the Tuna (meaning our fault which I do feel bad for doing with the lack of knowing by giving him something would cause him whatever he is dealing with)
He doesn't at all feel stress, I hope I'm not repeating myself on here and if I did I apologize, just super stressed out.
So again, please somebody tell me if he is okay, I just want to know if he is or not so I can surely get him to a vet as soon as I can to make him feel better.
He also has no diseases or anything, he's fine on that part. He gets his vaccination this 20th, is it possible because he hasn't gotten this specific vaccination and until he gets it he'll feel better???
