I watched some of the coverage on the Beeb, the military have had a busy weekend what with the Trooping of the Colour yesterday - marching bands get me all teary eyed every time and I don't know why

I've been watching it as well, along with the other programs that's been on all week. My brothers in the Falklands at the moment as an engineer for the MOD

I had to do a paper in botany in college on the Falkland islands. We were assigned an area from all over the world and I ended up with Falkland islands. Now, mind you, I had never even heard of it before and didn't even know where in the blazes it was located. It ended up working out and I learned a lot!

Yikes! I was working for a company in Buenos Aires at the time. I was being fed quite the different perspective. Hard to believe 25 years have went by!
