My cat who is 1 year old sometimes squints her left eye like it bothers her.

Also, on a couple of occasions, she kept it closed when I woke her up from sleeping, and didn't open it.

Is this normal? I don't have enough money to pay the vet.😔

Hi!
Is it gunky, or weepy?
Neither. She sometimes squints it, and when I turn the light on & she wakes up, she keeps it closed and fully opens the other one.

Edit: Actually, more weepy because sometimes it looks teary/wet/red.

The good thing is sometimes the infection goes away on its own for kittens. I didn’t know anything about cats when I brought home my first cat Meffy from the streets. She had an eye issue a week later and I only helped her cleaned it with some warm water and tissue. She got better days later. I was lucky.

But it is better to let a vet check it out to rule out anything serious. Hopefully it’s nothing and won’t cost you much.
