Putting this here, because not sure else where to put it. As most of you are aware of, very elderly cats seldom groom themselves any longer. However they are evidently very aware of when they look good :) Gave my almost 24 year old a really good(more than normal) brushing today. D*mn but he was PROUD!!! Prancing around, going from person to person, loving the pets and evidently the comments about how smooth his coat was :) Got a lot of tiny mats out I couldn't even feel when petting him, as well as a LOT of excess fur given I groomed him first with a furminator, then a slicker, then a rubber brush to "finesse" his coat. I simply can't get over how proud he acted <3 It was an amazing difference in his behaviour :)
