So, this is Eva, a pedigree Burmese. She's two years old. I bought her as a pet rather than a show cat or breeder and she is the most amazing cat I have ever shared a home with. She will play fetch, follow me on walks, sit and lie down on command. She is affectionate, playful and quite mind boggingly destructive. She cost me a LOT of money but that is nothing compared to the destruction she has wreaked in our home. You wouldn't believe something that weighs only 4lbs could cause such wanton havoc. The 80lb German shepherd we have adores her. The cat sleeps ON the dog. She also hoards things. Every now and again I lift up the bed and remove a collection of jewellry, random electronic cables, and assorted other swag that she has dragged under there. Leaving a toilet roll unattended in the bathroom means it looks like the room has been nuked in the morning. She sleeps next to my head every night, and wakes me up in the morning by slapping my face until she can get at my nose and then nibbling it. Naturally, I love her
And finally, the image that sums up Eva. Burmese, like all orientals SHOUT at you. Constantly. If she wants something, NOW is the time.
