The problem is it's hard to know exactly what is included in a commercial pet food under the term "by products". A cat catching an animal in the wild is eating it fresh and can choose what bits it eats or leaves depending on if it smells ok etc. I have no problem with by products in theory but I don't trust them in pet food so try to avoid them.

I wonder how we can be sure the muscle meat in cat food is trustworthy and what might have been done to that.
