Poor Duncan has IBD and when his belly is cramping and he is in pain he poops in a few unfortunate places. One place is on the matts I have for wiping my feet before going into the house. Sisal, rubber with pokey bits, all have been tried. I'm trying to think of something I could wash easily and if it has things to catch the poop it isn't easy. Anyone have suggestions? Maybe I should just use cardboard. Hmm...

What about those smooth rubber anti fatigue mats? Check at a hardware store for some larger size ones. i suppose you could also throw a extra extra large puppy pad over the mat to make cleanup easier.

Puppy pads would work but might get pricey over time unless you buy the cheap dollar store ones. Maybe an indoor / outdoor type mat that you can hose off?

We used to have sort of a plastic astroturf mat on our back porch. When it was raining and our pug at the time refused to go off the porch, he'd go on the mat and dad would hose it off later.

They sell "washable and reusable" puppy pads
