My 18yo cat has decided she will only eat Greenies now.
Don't think it's a good idea, but it's all she wants to eat now.

I noticed Dried Egg Yolk seems would be good for her.
I was wondering if raw, or sunny side up, would be just as good.
If she'll eat it of course.

Everything you ever wanted to know about feeding eggs to your cat:

The important part:
Can Cats Eat Raw Eggs?

No. Raw eggs are not suitable for cats. When eggs are not cooked or are undercooked, they can harbor bacteria like Salmonella. Also, raw egg whites can be bad for cats. “Chickens deposit avidin, a biotin-binding protein, in egg whites,” says Carbo-Johnson. “This protein prevents absorption of biotin (also known as vitamin B7), which can cause a vitamin deficiency. Cooking eggs for your cat would prevent those results.”

Hi. (Me again). Are you talking about a meal of egg? Egg yolk is high in phosphorus, so I would say it is not a good idea, at least not in terms of feeding any quantity of it. As I recall your cat has CKD, correct? Low phosphorus foods are best for CKD cats.

The amount of dried egg yolk in EZ Complete nowhere near compares to a cat actually eating egg yolks. Further, and this may be explained in the article above, but cooked egg whites are a good source of protein without the phosphorus but is still not a complete food for a cat.
