My cat, Ivy, keeps eating plastic. I think maybe it's the crinkling noise it makes that's attracting her, maybe. I first noticed it with a sour patch kids wrapper, I thought she wanted the candy. Then she started chewing on the packaging tape on some Amazon boxes. Then she threw up and it had a bandaid in the vomit! It had fallen off my son's finger and I had no idea she ate it. I don't know if she's ever ingested any plastic besides the band aid. If any plastic packaging gets left out she will find it and chew on it.
Is this common? I was thinking of finding some cat toys that make a crinkling noise and are safe to chew on. Maybe cat grass would be a good idea?
