Wow! That was one windy day when those pictures were taken!
I'm not much of a beach person, but I always enjoyed going there until it became more of a "Bay Watch" type setting with people wearing as little as they possibly could by way of bathing suits. Plus it was always so crowded you couldn't really find a place to sit much of the time without someone being so close to you that they could elbow you in the nose!!
Just a bit of trivia. Playboy Magazine once voted Grand Beach, with it's white sand, the 3rd best beach in the world.

true..but on this past weekend east beach at least wasn't that crowded ..I find that a lot of people will go to west beach because of the boardwalk and of course the concessions on the beach......we didnt stay long..maybe an hour tops...because it was windy...cool..and well..we didn't go into the water.
