So, to start of my tale of adventure...
My partner and I currently have 10 cats - or I should say they're my cats, even though he loves them too, expecially my eldest. Up until the past weekend gone, we had one dog as well, a male Keeshond who is technically my partners as he loves to declare although we got him together.
My partner has been harrassing me to get our dog a playmate for MONTHS. He loves Huskies & Samoyds and I couldn't think of anything worse. I'm not a dog person. I love all sorts of cats IMMEDIATELY, But each dog is different, I love them on their individual merrits and some dogs I can't stand, expecially puppies.
So, I give in, and I contacted a registered pedigree breeder which is different because our current male was found in a pet shop (yeah I know, but we feel in love with him on sight) and although is said to be pedegree doesn't have the papers and doesn't look quite purebreed.
I choose a Keeshond breeder (and no, not a puppy farm, I saw the parents) because everyone said Keeshonds DONT BARK. Well. Our eldest male doesn't bark, unless he wants to dominate other dogs. He'll bark at dogs bigger than him, but other than that, we rarely hear his voice. Strange hey?
So, this is where the "don't believe it until you see it" comes in. Ie, I shouldn't have believed them because this puppy won't shut up!!!!! She barks ALL THE TIME when she's alone. Our eldest male only *just* tollerates her, which since she will bark constantly unless we keep them together, is just dandy.
The funniest thing??? These dogs LOVE my cats. My cats are like
? I put the puppy in their play room and it is the cutest thing seeing like 5 cats in their big cat bed and a gorgeus fluffy puppy (overgrown pomeranian looking, think dark grey) just sitting in the middle.
The funny thing is, when she's with my cats, she doesn't bark! the problem is, apart from J one of my younger males, the others are wary, and won't eat with her around, so she can't stay with them forever.
But yeah, here I was thinking, Keeshonds don't bark, and the breeder laughing at me saying
? and me not believing her... umm yeah, I've realised we lucked out with our older male (the puppy is female) and that it's just his personality that he doesn't have a lot to say? lol
