I was on my way home today from work, rolling down the freeway, listening to the radio, when I see two cars pulled off to the side. Well, this isn't really that unusual, so I really didn't pay attention. Well, as I go by, there are two women trying to catch a dog running loose. SCREECH! I had to stop. I jumped out of my car and helped the women coax the dog to us. The poor thing was so skinny, so scared. I immediately wanted to bring her home, but the redhead offered to take her. She saw her first I guess and was the first one to stop. I was dissappointed, but so glad that the dog wasn't struck by a car and seemed to be getting a lovely home. This lady was so happy that the other woman and I stopped, she cried. I told her that I would do almost anything to save an animal and I was only too glad to help..........I'm floating on cloud 9 now!! What really irritates me is this poor lost soul was someones pet at one time but had been neglectd for quite a while to get in that shape. I just dont' understand it. In defense of the previous owner though, maybe she was a runaway that just never found her way home.
