Josie developed an "aversion" to my dad. He tried to punish her one day when she was laying on sheets fresh out of the dryer and dad wanted to fold them. (It's her little game. I usually indulge her in peek a boo for a couple minutes and then when I tell her to get down, she will.) Ever since then she has always hissed at my dad when he tries to pet her. Sometimes he'll stop petting, sometimes he won't (just to show her he's not mean). Once when he stopped, she came back over and meowed at him as if to say, "Ok, you can pet me more." We also don't let her into the basement at mom and dad's house. She'll race my dad to the stairs, lay on them, and hiss at him. (As if to say, if I can't go down there, you can't either.) Is it her way of playing with him? Or is she holding a grudge?
