Does he look strictly tabby?

I'm wondering if he might be a mix because I've never before had such a vocal cat. He "talks" all the time. Although he doesn't Meow very much, he constantly talks to me with grunting sounds when he is excited or wanting something.

What A Alldara and C CuriousKittens said. Tabby is the original, the default as it were, coat pattern, and tabbies come in all sorts of personalities as well as shapes and sizes. I’ve had a grey tabby who was big, solid and very quiet, like he couldn’t squeeze much sound out, and another who was small, slim and had a voice on her like a Siamese, and used it a lot.

Your boy’s very handsome, btw. Love those golden eyes!
