does anyone use wood pellets as litter ?

hi everyone,

im looking for a bit of advice.. i was given some smart cat cat litter.. i was woundering if this is any good ?? i have only ever used odor controll normal litter .. it smells nice as its pine

I use the horse pellets for litter.  Trick is ADJUST SLOWLY!  If you have more then one cat switch to the slowest cat comfort level.  I have a fairly laid back bunch of cats who are used to different textures as I have used regular cat litter and also silica crystals and pearls for a bit of time.  If you go to fast cat may decide to take business elsewhere.

I use pine pellets too. Just start by mixing a handful in with their normal litter and slowly add more and more until they are completely switched over.

It controls odor great and eventually you will want a sifter box.

thanks for the advice everyone.. i didnt know about mixing the litter to get him used to it.. anyway he used it fine looks like we are going green !!
