First of all, thank you for the inspiration Menagerie Mama, I don't think I would have ever thought of the idea of using the combined TCS knowledge to answer some of my more baffling questions (actually, I remember seeing The Christmas Toy, but didn't remember it's name either.
Ok. My two of my three "can't remember the name but am certain it exists" movies have a bit of a story to them.
Both are films that my mom was watching on tv when I was about seven (about twenty years ago!) and I only good to see a couple of seconds each time, but have wondered ever since a) what the movies were about and b)what my mom was doing watching them (no, I can't ask her, she's passed away since).
Film 1: I remember a scene with a woman chained to some sort of huge sphere (it may have been on fire?) and their was some monster coming to eat her I think. Mom was watching this late at night.
Film 2: I remember a scene with a nice celticy green field with lots of stone table/alters on it. Then a bevy of young women come out and lie down on the altars (I think they are killed at this point, or are to be killed). I think Mom was watching this on a Saturday afternoon.
***
Film 3: I actually saw this one. It had a bunch of heroes from various lands (seven, I think). They are killed of one by one in the movie. When the Irish one dies, his faith opens some weird door that allows the remaining guy to escape (and he finishes their mission).
