Do your cats cling to you too or is mine just super attached?

No complaints this time. Honestly I love being her human and favorite.

Today my brothers GF went home and when her mom picked her up, she of course had brought the GFs younger siblings with her. They love and rescue many animals; especially cats.

They had my moms cat on cloud 9 with attention. He was a pile of purring mush! My cat? Would not come close no matter how hard they tried to convince her. She's not ok with strangers and honestly is barely ok with us and she's 8.

I opened the door and my mom said I was the only one she responded to. Before I could say anything, I heard her meow and she ran and jumped into my arms and has been basically up my butt all day. She has periods where she doesn't even look in my direction and others where I am her world. Does anybody else have a cat like this or is mine just extra weird?

Cats that attach, get attached to a specific person and that person alone if they weren't socialised with others as kittens.

Some cats don't attach closely at all and are more independent. Just luck of the draw as far as I know.
