Haha, Mackerel's nicknames are Fluffy Butt, Miss Mackerel, Mackers, Mack... um... when it's just she and I at home usually I just call her Baby, lol. "Come on, Baby... just have one more bite of dinner." that kind of thing. XD

I thought Fluffy Butt was a peculiar one, but it seems like just about everyone calls their cats by some variation!

And sometimes I say to her "you got so much fur and your don't know why".

Yuppers I have a lot of names for my boy - shocking he even knows his name

I call him:

Kis
Kissy (said like kizzy)
Turkey Butt
Monkey Butt
Moochkie (said like mooch-key)
Boober

Those are the "Regular" names... tho I have a long list of other things that pop out now and then.

Every pet I have ever owned - had nicknames... not sure why but they do. lol

this is fun!
My cats' nicknames are usually only variations on their real names:
Mitsy: Micinka, Miculka, Micko, etc.
Matti: Matulka, Mattu, etc.
Mourek: Mourecek, Morciku, Mordu, Morcici, etc...
All of them respond to Cicinko

I'm sure that I forgot quite a few!

Aya is also known as the 'wonder whizzer', for her peeing problem...

Our family kitty Midori is known as 'squeaky kitty' because when we got her for the longest time (years) she didn't know hoiw to meow properly. she just squeaked and eeped and meeped.

LOL @ Norman Bates.
In middle school we had a gecko as the class pet, and I was given the honor to name him. I named him Norman Bates.

And oh boy, my cats have a lot of nicknames. Some of them are nicknames of other nicknames and have gotten further and further away from what the original nickname was. For example with Polly; Noodle--> Chicken Noodle--> Chicken Nugget--> Chicken.

Polly (besides the 4 above): Chick-Chick, Dumdum, Fuzzy, Polly Wolly Puddin' Pop, Chatterbox, Funny Face, Chubby Cheeks, Cheeks, Chickadee, Polly Wolly

Molly: Molly Grace, Your Serene Highness, Your Highness, Molly Wolly, Chirp, Princess, Miss Molly, "Good Golly Miss Molly!"

Those are there regular nicknames (ones I usually use all the time). In addition, there are two other categories of nicknames:

-Nonsense names that just pop out that I don't use again
-Common terms of endearment (sweetheart, baby, cutie, beautiful, etc.)

P.I.T.A.! I love it! Years ago, we brought one of Whisper's kittens into our house. We named him Pita and yes, it was because of that. He was one of the sweetest little babies we ever had.

The weird thing is when we adopted him his name was Pretzel and his sisters were Pita and Crumpet.... he really suits PITA...he just scratched up my new leather jacket by trying to climb it!
