Yes, Swanie follows me. If I go upstairs, I know pretty soon he'll be up there too. If I'm doing something with a door closed, it's a sure bet when I come out he'll be there waiting for me. He's my little doodle

Cindy follows my husband. She is daddy's little girl for sure

They both like to be around us most of the time.

Knee deep in cat litter
My precious Marbles who just passed was my shadow. He was mommy's little boy. He would call and call if he couldn't find me. If I would go on an errand, he would constantly go to my hubby and meow at him as if to ask where I was. He would be waiting at the door when I got home. He would move from room to room with me. The first year of his life he would wake me up at 5:30 on the dot to get attention from me. I guess after most of the night with no "mommy time" he would not be able to wait a second longer
He would constantly talk to me. I would "chudder" at him and he would always have to have the last "word". Even with him gone now I still can't go to the bathroom by myself. If I have the door closed, I have at least two sets of paws pawing under the door and meowing.
I guess they are afraid that that big white thing will pull me in if they don't watch out for me

Aristotle insists on preceding or escorting Mom and me. Unfortunately, he has a tendency to plop down in our path. A nudge with the foot will move him.

I can relate to you there!
After my son "grew up" and moved out, I was living by myself up till about 2 years ago. But I never FELT alone, b/c I always had my "babies" to come home to!
That's not to say I didn't miss my son's presence, but the house never felt empty.

I suppose he thought I might "leave" him again, and he was NOT gonna let that happen!
What a nut!

I'm sorry to hear you lost your precious Marbles.
I know how it feels.

Whenever I'm in the bathroom, Geronimo will "whine" at the door too, and my b/f will "reassure" him that the "big white thing" didn't suck me in, either!
His whining is even worse when I'm taking a shower: I guess he figures I'm gonna get rinsed down the drain or something, b/c I've been in there for too long!
As soon as I open the door, in he comes, to make sure I'm still all there!
