Do cats hold grudges?

Just out of curiosity, do cats hate certain people who frequently annoy/irritate it? Chestnut here doesn't like people who carry her alot, annoy her, so she bites and chases. So, do cats actually hold grudges??

I do not think they hold grudges; they do not have that capacity, however, cats have very good memories..

You have to tell the people who handle her roughly to not do that. You have to put your foot down! 

She remembers them annoying her. She associates  the annoyance wth the person...

If you want a better relationship, then they need to start ignoring her for a bit, feeding her treats and treating her nicely..

I have three males and one is really bonded to me. He does not like it when I pay attention to one of the other cats and will avoid my hand and slink away avoiding my petting. I think this is jealousy.
