Hi! My 1-year-old Neva Masquerade (colorpoint Siberian) was originally described as a seal lynx point when we got her at 12 weeks old. She had a black nose and was developing dark lynx pointing, dark grey w rust-colored nose bridge. Her eyes were pale icy blue, a little darker around the pupil.
Now that she’s 1, her points are a little less distinct, and she looks more tabby. She has a lot of spots on her back. That makes sense to me, but the weird thing is that she seems lighter otherwise. Her darkest parts are purplish medium-grey, and the brown areas in her pattern look apricot-colored. Her eyes are the same pale blue.
Anyway, I love her colors but would like to know the correct description, since she doesn’t seem like a seal point.

I'd still described her as seal point. She'll keep getting darker as she ages although that fluff might never be super dark. I know it took my boy until his second year before his body really started to darken.

I agree that I think she looks seal lynx point; the tip of her tail, and her tabby markings, are dark, and her markings might still darken up a bit. She’s beautiful!

Thanks so much for the feedback! It’s weird that her points are lighter than they used to be, but I bet you’re right and they’ll darken up. I hope her eyes stay the same though. My Siamese cat is only 5 and she’s nearly all black/dark brown except for her head, which is still cream-colored!
