Greetings everyone,
my girlfriend recently moved into an apartment with her cat, Captain. She just moved him in yesturday and today, he's been acting lethargic. She has a problem with spiders and so she sprayed some spider poison in the corners around the carpet. We're not sure if he got into it or not, but as of today, he's been acting very strange. This morning, he burrowed himself under her comforters and hasn't moved all day. He used to love going outside, but we can't get him to go out on the balcony and look around. He just wants to go back and hide under the covers. While we were petting him and trying to figure out what is wrong with him, I noticed his breathing was a little heavy, and my girlfriend noticed his nose was cold. We're not sure if this is normal or not. We're currently trying to determine whether or not he may be sick, poisoned or merely in a depressed state from moving from his house with a big backyard he could play in. Also, he's moving away from his friend, Rollie, the Yorkie Terrier.
Does anyone have any advice for us? Any would be much appreciated. Thank you!
