So, I really need to start cleaning my foster kitten's teeth. The thing I'm not sure about is how his special needs will affect that.

Froggy has megaesophagus and can't swallow very well. I need to make sure I don't choke him with dental products or excess saliva. He also gets most of his moisture from his liquid diet so I'm not sure a water additive would work unless I could use it in KMR instead.

Any ideas for how to keep his teeth clean?

Well, spit! Several searches with slightly different parameters netted me an absolute NOTHING in the way of information. I would think, however, that daily, gentle dry-brushing would be far better than nothing, at least until you can consult with your vet about the best oral hygiene for him.

Thanks for trying. The vet didn't have any additional suggestions, so I'm going to try the dry brush.

Better than nothing, at any rate. You'd think that there would be SOMETHING out there, but no.
