She had to leave for her school trip with no further news. I just hope that he was not so frightened off by the guy trying to pick him up that he has run further away. Faith says all the houses on the estate have cat flaps so he is likely to stay around food sources. SHe has leafleted the whole estate and asked people to phone the Cats Protection League if there are any sightings. A professional pet finding company has contacted her offering help, but from their literature I am not sure they could do any more that she has done already, and they are very expensive. Does anyone have any experience of such people?
There have been two sightings today - but half a mile apart! They can't both be him. One was close to the place he was seen before. The CPL lady is following both of them up - she is a heroine of this situation.
Oh so many close calls. Bilbo is sure to be caught very soon, I am sure. And, yes cats can travel easily 1/2 mile radius and more. I am sure Bilbo has a territory all figured out. But he can't seem to find his way back home. At least he has been spotted and you know he is out there. I just hope he goes back to that caretaker's house to eat and he can catch him. Bilbo probably will go back there. for Bilbo's safe return very soon
The two sightings were on opposite sides of the campus and within half an hour of each other. If he was going from one place to the other he would have had to cross the 400 acre campus of the school and it is inconceivable that he would not have found his way home in the process, as he usually wanders the campus. It is so frustrating, and if I feel like that, it is so much worse for my daughter. But thanks everyone for all the support - I will keep posting any info as I have it.
The Cat protection league people are setting more traps tonight near to a possible sighting. It is Faith's birthday tomorrow, so if he is caught it would be the best present ever.
