I thought this was funny the first time I saw it. :lol3: Cuddles sticks her head outside of the litterbox while she poops inside the box...it's weird! :lol3: Anyone have any idea why she is doing this?

I take it it's a closed in litterbox? the one with the top? cats are vunerable(well in their eternally wild cat, cat brains) while they making their dirt, it is her instinct to keep an eye on her surroundings

I took the tops off of all of mine, except the one in the bathroom, when Silly had the cone on. I think I prefer it that way and I know they do. No more S&S making like mountain lions on top of them and play attacking the other three when they come out.

Several of mine always do that. Wellington does it because he is so big and I think it is uncomfortable for him to crouch down under the lid. But they all seem to prefer the closed to t he open boxes.
