I have just got a kitten which is very light cream with blue eyes does anybody no what sort of breed and are cream colours Rare?

Very likely to be a sweet little domestic kitten.

Cream isn't really rare, but she/he sounds adorable.

Blue eyes suggests the kitten is really far too young to be away from it's mother.  How old were you told it was?

Cream is the dilute of red, and not rare as said. Also agree with above re blue eyes and age.

I have a cream Birman (all birmans have blue eyes) but they are quite rare for the Birman breed and would never end up in a shelter. 

Your kitten could also be a siamese mix but without a picture it's hard to say.

Female Orange tabbys are hard to find, but not rare by any means. It is awesome that you have a creamy orange and blue eyed cat though, they are very beautiful.
