Covid-19 and cats

My cat has asthma, which we’ve been treating the last month, slowly tapering off prednisone…

I wound up getting covid and quarantined appropriately. But since I’ve recovered, the last two days, I’ve been able to hear his breathing. Called the vet this AM and they haven’t returned my call.

anyone have experience here?

It's not known if cats can catch Covid19 from people. The breathing you hear may be related to the asthma or could just be normal breathing noises. Maybe your senses are super sensitive now post-Covid recovery?

Thank you. His breathing was fine until two days ago. I’ve read in Associated Press (within the last few weeks) that pets can become infected.
