Well, I've had my cat Mia for just four months now (cant remember being without her tho) She eats perfectly fine, she goes in her litter tray fine...theres just one thing i'm not sure of.

When she uses her litter tray she covers up what shes done, which is fine of course and natural....but she also trys to do this whenever she eats...she'll eat from her bowl and then scratch around it trying to cover it up, even if theres nothing there but carpet. I've never known a cat do this before so i was just wondering if it's common or not?

I think this is fairly common. She is trying to cover it up and "hide" some for later. I think it's just an individual quirk, not anything to worry about.
