Does anyone know of any comprehensive web sites on caring for your geriatric cat? Shep is 15+, a stray we found 12 years ago and her age was somewhere between 3 and 5 at that time. Her only real health issue is stomatitis (spelling?), a persistent inflamation of the gums that we treat alternatingly with antiobiotics, steroids and dental care. She is slightly underweight due to the mouth problems, but we have stabilized her weight pretty well over the last year.
We had her at the vet on Saturday for a checkup. The vet tells me that she is just a senior. She looks like a shaky old lady to me. Would love a sight on how to get thru those geriatric years. We haven't done this for a while and we are rusty.
Thanks all!
